Babies milk spots?

Hi my baby is nearly 3 weeks old and has lots of milk spots the midwives etc say its ok but she has lots on her face and they are very unsightly. how long do these last for?

Answer:
Neonatal acne begins at 3 to 4 weeks of age and lasts until 4 to 6 months of age. The cause appears to be the transfer of maternal androgens prior to birth. This type of acne resolves when maternal hormones wane after 3 months. Since it is temporary, no treatment is necessary. Baby oil or ointments will only make it worse.
All my baby's had this. They all were different. Some lasted a little longer and got worse. But they won't last very long. Also don't pop them. You will scar your baby if you do. just hang in there, I know that it is not very pretty but it will get better.
My baby is 12 weeks and he had them from about 3-6 weeks and they cleared. Just leave them alone and they clear on their own. Hope this helps!!
not very long, nothing to worry yourself over
