Why doesn't my baby sleep?

my 5 1/2 month old baby wakes up 4-6 times a night still...she don't really sleep during the day so its not that she sleeps too much in the day..she is not sick or teething..what can i do??

Answer:
Is she eating enough? She might still need to eat at night and is waking up because she is not getting enough during the day.

Is she nursing? If so, it is totally normal as breastmilk is digested very quickly. if she is artificially fed, she may be having trouble digesting the fake milk and be in pain.

She may also be overtired. babies that young should still have 2 naps most days. Staying awake all day may actually be hindering her sleep at night.

Do you carry her in a sling or other soft carrier so that she feels secure and close enough to be comfortable enough to fall asleep? It might be a good thing to try.
