I dont have any biological children of my own But I do have a beautiful boy whom I love with all my heart.
He was born in a closet at a house party and weighed 3 lbs 6oz, two months pre-mature.
Indian Child Welfare removed him from his mother and placed him with me (because I am a license foster care provider) after being in the NICU for 3 weeks.
I got up every hour to feed him 1/2 oz of formula. I remember how angry he would be when I had to feed him when he wasn't hungry. Slowly but surely, he started gaining ounce by ounce.
I was granted 2 months off of work to care for my little soldier.
Today, he is a very health and normal 4 year old boy. Joe is my heart and soul and with out him, I am nothing.
