Third baby due in eleven weeks need some advice?
Answer:
Congrats, I am not exactly in the same position but my daughter is the same age and I wouldn't take her for any medium to long journeys with her buggy just yet. Especially since carrying her wont be an option to start with.
I'd go with a second hand double buggy for the first few months, then get a buggy board
Buy a mini-van.and birth-control.
My second child was similar age when I had our third, I opted for the buggy board as they are not as wide as the double buggies, but I must warn they are very easy to tip over with the heavist child on the front, so please if you choose this option BE CAREFUL.. I still use my all the time and and my girls are 4 and 16 months!!
Hope all goes well with the birth...
buggy boards are OK but a 21 month old still has naps during the day so if your out shopping etc for the day they cant take a nap, i would definitely have a 3 wheeled double buggy in my experience a side by side was better than one that they sit in front of each other as the one behind didnt have a lot of leg room
hi,get a double pram that has one at front and one at back, we got one that has a bassinet at the back (which converts to a normal seat) and a normal seat at the front.. good luck
get a back holder, I have one on my back and one on my front or hold one and hold 2yr olds hand, i very rarely use strollers, a newborn should be near mom too many people just use the car seat and they fit into stroller yuck my husband and i do not think it's right but to each there own, but i have a three month old and I'm already back to before pregnant weight don't be a lazy mom
I am sort of in the same situation. I'm also due in eleven weeks but with my 2nd child -- my first will be just a few days shy of 2 years when my next one arrives. Personally, I do not like the buggy board, I'd prefer a tandem stroller. However, if you're like me and have a smaller car, it's going to be hard to find a tandem that will fit in the trunk. You could also go with something like the Baby Trend Sit-N-Stand Stroller http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...
As for me, since I have help from my husband, I've decided on letting my 2 year old use her umbrella stroller and I'm getting the Baby Trend Snap N Go Single Stroller http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... to use to cart around the infant carrier until my next baby is able to support herself. Once that happens, I'm going to get a tandem (probably this one... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... since it will be the only one that I can fit in the trunk of my car). Hope this helps. Congrats on the new addition!
my daughter's in the same situation she has a double buggy but finds it awkward getting into shop doorways ect. but it's great for long walks. She has a buggy board for quick trips to the shops when her new baby was first born she had a sling to carry baby and pushed her little boy - you will have to see which works best for you're needs
there was 21 months between my children. Didn't get a double buggy, too expensive and your 21 month old won't get much use of it, if your child is anything like mine, my boy liked to walk and run, he did get tired and had a little carry. Save your money and spend it on something you will get use out of. Hope this is helpful.
My toddler will be 22 months old when my third baby will be born in july and i'm definately opting for a double buggy! Maybe you could keep your single buggy and on those short walks where you have loads of time let your toddler walk. But on long days out or shopping take the double buggy because at that age, they still can't walk far and still need a nap. And in times when you are rushing like for school run or docs appointment, putting your toddler in the buggy will get you there faster! Good luck!
Ps i've just been looking in mothercare and actually i'm suprised at the price of double buggys, they don't actually cost much at all and they are better value compared to the single pushchairs. I have my eye on one for £99!
