what about friends and family? i was the same way. i am a mom of a 2 yr old boy. i didn't know anything about babies when i was preg. but it just really does come so naturally. you will just know what is right. and consider breast feeding. my son has never had an ear infection or any major illness. i really do swear by it. and look for some second hand stuff , as far as toys, furniture, and even clothes. trust me, i spent a fortune on stuff, and they outgrow all of it sooooooo fast. craigslist.org is an awesome site.!!! good luck!!
