2 week old baby girl dilemma !!! This is my second child but my first was a boy so I'm not sure what is norm
Answer:
Both my twin girls had this discharge and so did my nieces as well. Here is the reason kidshealth gives.. Due to the effects of maternal hormones, most newborn girls will have a vaginal discharge of mucus and perhaps some blood that lasts for a few days. This "mini-period" is normal menstrual-type bleeding from the infant's uterus that occurs as the estrogen passed to the infant by the mother begins to disappear. If you continue to worry about it though I would call my pediatrician, I am sure it will clear up soon.
Yes it is normal i dont know the name for it but i have two girls and it isnt anything to worry about.
This is very normal. My daughter is 9wks old and at first she had discharge because of the hormones coming out of her body that she got from you. She won't have it for much longer. The hospital or your pediatrician should have told you this before you left the hospital.
itsnormal as long as the discharge isnt green or brown shes okay if it is a different color then white or a creamy color you should call her doctor but i was concerned about it with my daughter but the doctor said it was normal
