Bleeding Strawberry birthmark on bottom?

My baby daughter as a large strawberry birthmark on her bottom its about the size of a 50p. A month ago it got a dark mark which got bigger and GP prescribed antibiotic cream, this made it worse as it was sticking to her nappy and it turned into an ulcer. She is in agony with it - we cannot put dressings on as the will not stick due to position so can only put on a thick layer of vasaline. We cannot leave nappy off as if she has a p it goes on and must be like acid on it!We cannot put normal clothes on her as pulling trousers and tighets on and off hurt so she has to wear baby grows. We are now having to top and tail as bathing makes her cry so much she vomits. Giving calpol as directed by GP. We have been referred to Dermatologist urgently and appoint is in May!! Today we had to take her to A&E as was bleeding so much and they told us to see GP on Monday. Has anyone else had a problem with one of these birthmarks/any advice? She has got another large one and that one is ok.

Answer:
GPs are idiots. Call all the pediactric dermatologists in your area and see if they can get her in faster. Explain to them the details make it sound as if she is dying. That normally works for me. If you cant wait untill monday to go to the Dr. call tem some of them open the office on weekends for special cases like this one. Raise hell and make them fix your baby! If you feel like you need to go back to the hospitol do it even if its for your peace of mind. Good luck and I hope she feels better very soon!
This cannot wait go to the emergency room and let them evaluate.Find out why the prescribed antibiotic made it worse.
I am sorry to hear of what you are going through. My only experience with these birthmarks are nothing like your daughters, they sound more like the other one that she has and they disappear with time. All I can suggest is keep pestering your GP and the hospital and demand to see a dermatologist immediately and not in May, that is far too long to wait!

Good luck with everything xxx
