At what age did you start giving your baby juice, my son is almost 8 months old? I would like to start him?

What is the best one to start with and should I even mix baby juice with water?

Answer:
I have had three kids and i started them all @ 6mon if not a lil younger. You want to put like an ounce of juice with 3 oz water so it is not too strong. Best time to introduce the sippy cup . It is like a reward for something new, worked everytime! Do not give it in bottle you will have a hard time wheening him. Start with pear as it is easier on the stomach , also apple those are not as acidy on the stomach which causes tummy aches and gas. Good luck
diluted juice (3 oz water 1 oz juice) at about 6 mos.
Yeah, he is old enough. I always mixed it with water. I still do and my girls are 5 and 2. Good luck.
7 mo. is an ideal age but a 50 50 mix of water and juice to delute is necessary
I started mine on juice at 6 months and i would do half juice half water.she is 2 and i still delute the sugary juices and she doesnt seem to mind at all :) Apple is always a good one to introduce first :) yes delute the baby gerber juices too :)
Avoid citrus juice (orange, pineapple, grapefruit) until he is over 1 year old. Also, no strawberry juice in case of allergy.

Apple and grape juice, without added sugar, are best. Dilute the grape more than the apple.
6 months
He is more than ready! Dilute apple juice to see how he likes it. White grape, pear, etc. Juice has sugar so brush the teeth often too. Watered down will have less sugar too if he tends to take a fair bit. Make sure he doesn't have more juice than formula as the nutrients in that are more beneficial. He could certainly just have straight water too which is even better. I hope he has been having water along the way too!
My oppion is you can start when you want to. Start with half water and half juice, this way baby will get use to the juice and slowly start adding more juice than water.
I always waited to start my kids on juice until they were 6 months and then they recommend starting the "white" juices 1st and diluting them 3 parts juice and 1 part water. I wouldn't give them too much though. There is still alot of natural sugars in fruit juices. Make sure that you either brush or wipe the teeth off after giving juice. They really don't recommend giving juices in a bottle either but I always did and it never hurt my kids.
Well my son is 1 1/2 months old and per the doctor I have him on Pedialyte...so if my son can be on it so young I would try that.it is a bit expensive and doesn't taste very well but at least for now you know you can put him on it...and if you do do not add water it will break down the electrolytes.
Mix it with water at first 1oz juice to 3 oz water. I didn't start my son on juice until he was a year. He loved formula and water and ate a balanced diet so I didn't see the point in giving him the juice. My daughter however would never drink plain water so I started her on dilated juice at about 6 months. Good luck and take Care!

Start with Gerber or Juicy Juice (recommened by my pediatrician) Apple (light juice to dark juices) staying away from citris fruits like orange, pinneapple etc. until he is over a year.
I started at about 8 months when I weaned. My son wouldn't drink formula or milk...so I went to a sippy cup with 1/2 water and 1/2 juice.
I started my little ones at three months.. however I would check with your doctor to be on the safe side.
My doctor said we could start at 4 months. Our son is almost 6 and we still haven't started. It was also suggested that we dilute the juice with some water.
The doctor said we should start with apple or grape juice. Orange juice is to acidic and may upset baby's tummy.
Anyway, your son is old enough to start if you want. I would dilute the juice at least somewhat and start with apple myself.
Good luck!
Yes water it down so it won't be so strong because your baby can get stringled on juice. My neighbor is giving her 3 month old daughter juice. I gave it to my son when he was 5 months old.
My Dr. told me that I could give it to my 6 mos old. No more than 4 oz (diluted 50/50 with water). Limit it to that so the baby is not full on juice so to miss a feeding. They still need their formula allotment. I know my 6mo old should still consume 24-29 oz a day, along with her little meals.
Yes he is ready for some apple juice about 3-4 ounces and you do not need to dilute it.
You can start to give your baby juice now, but like you said you need to mix it with water and don't give your baby too much of it.
