2 month old always hungry.?

My son was born at 37 weeks weighing 7lbs 13 ounces. taking a bottle all the time since day one, at one week old doc check up he was up to almost 9lbs. for the past three weeks he has been taking about 4-6 ounces every hour during the day and about 8 ounces at night every 2-4 hours. Now he always wants to eat and never seems satisfied...EVER. he isn't stuffing himself because he never pukes it up, he isn't being satisfied. Usually at night after a bottle he would be fussy and cry until his next feeding, last night I put a LITTLE rice ceral in his bottle and he was calm and relaxed until he fell asleep and woke for his next bottle 3-4 hours later. I think it helped satisfy him. Is this ok as long as its only one bottle at night? Its just a tiny bit of ceral and he really calms down with it.

My daughter was born weighing ten pounds, so at one month my doctor told me to give her a little cereal in her bottle. She's three now, has no problems with allergies is not overweight(which people will tell you if you give it to baby that early it will cause these problems). This is the way I thought about it, our mothers put us on whole milk at one month, now they tell you to wait one year. I didn't die, have no allergies to food, etc. You do what you think is right. Good luck.
Check with your pediatrician before starting solids, because every baby is different.
My daughter is 2 1/2 mths and she is always hungry as well, her dr said to give her rice cereal from a spoon twice a day. He told me to never put it in her bottle.
Well, I have always went with what the elders say. Because from my experiences I think, the older the wiser. Both my mother-in-laws have told me to put a little bit of cereal in the bottle if the baby doesn't seem to be satisfied with just his formula. I did that for my first, because she was always hungry, and it worked. My daughter is now 13 and healthy. What you are doing is fine. Do what you think is right for your child, some will say yes, some will say no. But you are the mom. You make the decisions.
