I love the name Isabella, but it's really common. Melana is cute and not so common.
Wait until you meet your baby. she may look more like a Melana or more like a Isabella... or maybe neither... It took me two weeks to decide my baby's full name.

I love Isabella and it's a strange coincidence because I'm in the moment listening to a book on tape called, The Right Attitude To Rain by Alexander McCall Smith and the main character's name is Isabella...Hmmm. Actually, I think i like Isabelle better than the 'A' sound at the end. But that's just me. You know better than your husband and you're the one giving birth so my opinion is you get to decided. ;) Congratulations!
I prefer Isabella to Melana, but if you do Melena (mel-en-uh) or Melaina (mel-ain-uh)

Isabella is sooo pretty! why don't you use both names? Isabella Melana sounds really good, and Melana Isabella does too (Isabelle would also work if you don't like the two ah ending sounds). just make sure her initials don't spell out anything bad. ;D
The name Isabella is becoming out done but pretty. Im not sure about Melana but I would go with that over Isabella. Maybe you could name her Angelina. thats my little girls name and I love it. What about Melana Isabella or vise versa. My sisters name is Helaina kinda like Melana. What ever you pick though will be sweet because you two are her parents and thats all that matters.

I think their equally beautiful. Look in the eyes of your little one...and I guarantee the name will come. Anyway, you can't loose with names as cute as the one you guys have chosen.

WOW, I have a niece named Melaina, she's 10 (spelled a little different) and a sister in law due, that if she has a girl it will be Isabella... But personally I really like Melaina... very spohisticated! Congrats!
