What has your pediatrician done for your baby's acid reflux??
it's so bad that other moms have commented on it and i think his daycare teachers are starting to get sick of changing his clothes and washing his hair.
he will spit up whether it's 5 min after eating or 2 hours. and it's usually a lot. it just comes pouring out. doesn't matter if he's flat on the floor or you're holding him or he's elevated on the boppy pillow!
he is growing like crazy, but i worry about it harming his guts and esophagus.
i asked the dr about it and he said that he was at the peak for acid reflux and to let it run it's course and it will taper off. that was a month ago and it still hasn't subsided.
so, was there anything your dr may have recommended to you for your kid's spitting up??
anything that i may mention to my dr??
thanks!
Answer:
You need a new ped honey!
Don't let that baby suffer!
My littleone (6 weeks old) has reflux. I am trying to avaoid medication but elimanating stuff from my diet (and it is helping)
But my goodness, he could at least suggest a change of formula! Get a new doc!
My niece is on baby acid reflux medication that's added to her bottle 2x a day.
Our son has it too, but not severe enough we want him medicated for it. I feel sorry for your poor guy ((((baby)))) He must be miserable :( We have to keep our boy sitting upright for a while after he eats, but at 8 months his HAS tapered WAY off from what he was doing.
Our daughter's pediatrician prescribed zantac for infants. It's a liquid given by syringe or dropper and been a miracle for us. Good luck and God bless.
My 2 mo. old has acid reflux and the doc put her on zantac twice a day, and told us to feed her smaller amounts more frequently, that way she wouldn't have as much to try to digest at one time. We also feed her sitting up, and try to keep her upright and as still as possible for about 30-45 min. after she eats. Not always very easy, but has worked wonders for us. She's like a totally different baby- her spitting up has been reduced by at least 75%, and she's happier and sleeps more! Hope this helps!
