I had my baby over three months ago, and is still bleeding. Is this common?
Answer:
First of all, it CAN be completely normal.
Are you soaking more than a pad in an hour? If so, go to the doctor asap.
This could be your cycle now. You were bleeding after birth (and it is the same as a vag. birth, you bleed with a c-section too), and perhaps now you are on y our period. Easy to mistake since there was possibly no break in between.
Call you doctor and ask, but do not freak out if the bleeding isn't as heavy as described above in my response.
No this should not be happening you should see a doctor!!
no get to a hospital as it isn't right for you to be bleeding even a 1 month after
I bleed for weeks & weeks after both children that i had vaginally. My 3rd child was a caesarian & I only bleed for 2 weeks. I think it is normal as long as you have not got pain that is worse than normal, that there is not foul odour & you are not unwell or have a fever.
I would keep a watch on it. I bleed with my daughter for over 2 months and the doctor told me then that its not uncommon for women to bleed 12 weeks or more. Depends on your body. As long as you arent hurting or anything you should be fine.
Talk to your doctor. I have had 3 C-sections, and bled on average for about 7 weeks. You may have reopened something or prematurely shed your scabs (that is what happened to me my last one). Also your hormone levels could be off in your body. Did you start birth control yet? If not that could be a reason for the continual bleeding. Again talk to your doctort.
Hi there.
Did you go in for a check-up since you had the baby? I would at the very least call your doctor and leave a message explaining just like you did here. The doctor will either get back to you or have his nurse give you a call. I had 4 C-sections and I definitely do not think that this sounds normal at all. It can not hurt to call the doctor and if she wants to see you she will let you know. It will put your mind at rest in any case.
Take care!
