How much is a two month old baby supposed to drink?
Answer:
Infants under six months of age should be taking in 2-2 1/2 ounces per lb. of body weight in 24 hr. period. For example, if your baby would weigh 10 lbs. that would equal 20-25 oz. I have four month old as well and used this equation. She eats 6 oz. about every 3 1/2 to 4 hours. She is always satisfyed
between 4-6 oz.
I heard if the baby isn't wetting 6 times a day it's not getting enough.
Usually 5 bottles/day about 6oz each. But depending on the size of your baby and his/her appetite it could be more or less in each bottle. Formula fed babies normally eat every 3-4 hours and sometimes at that age may sleep 6-8 hours thought the night. check with your paediatrician or local health line when in doubt.
between 4-6 ounces. but this depends on the babys weight if the baby is more ten pounds he may need more formula.
My baby is 9 months old he only drinks 6 ounces, when he was two months he would only take between 2-4 ounces every four hours. If your baby is not satisfied with that just feed her more.
she will let you know if she is still hungry.
All babies are different..feed her as much as she wants, when she is hungry. My daughter is 8 weeks and eats anywhere from 4-6 oz. and she is 13 lbs. I think there is an average oz per weight factor, maybe someone can post that, but you should feed her when shes hungry, good rule to follow.
He/she should be eating between 3 and 6 oz per feeding, and feeding should be between 2 1/2 and 3 hours apart, save for at night when he/she should be sleeping a little longer. As long as he/she's gaining weight at a healthy pace (approximately 1 oz per day is what pediatricians like to see), then she is eating enough.
The health department gave me a sheet with the recommended daily feeding amounts on it. They suggest 18-30 ounces a day from birth to 4 months. So, as long as he/she is eating somewhere around that amount a day, he/she should be fine. My daughter was eating between 4 and 5 4 oz. bottles a day at that age.
My son is 2 months and 2 weeks and he eats 4 ounces every 2 - 4 hours.
As much as she wants. Aim to offer her enough that she normally leaves a little, that way when she is hungrier (we all have hungry moments!) there is a bit extra for her. If she is gaining weight she is taking in enough, if you don't think she is healthy talk to a health professional.
Don't panic too much about measuring it, if you were breast feeding you wouldn't know! Get to know your baby and recognise when she is hungry, but also when she would rather have a cuddle or play. Always make milk the right strength according to the instructions - if you make it too strong or too weak she will not know how much she has had and may take in more or less than she needs.
Relax, trust your baby and yourself and enjoy this special time!
All babies are different, everyone keeps telling me my 4month old should be at 8oz every time she eats but shes still at 6oz and she passes out cold. It really depends on how hungry you baby is at that time don't force them to eat it if there not hungry anymore, my doctor said mine is gaining weight just fine, just because shes not eating 8oz every feeding doesnt mean shes not getting as much as babys that eat 8oz. Only differnece is you have to make more bottles of what fits your childs needs, it will all equal out to about the same, varies.
