Feed babe-in-arms cheerio's and other finger foods`?
Answers: so copious parents give their babies cheerios at 6 months+ and they are fine, however my niece have a cheerio and she chocked on it because it is too hard to chew near no teeth and it doesn't dissolve very rapidly so i wouldn't recommend them!
from 6 months rusks are the best thing to dispense, they are made for babies 4months+ and dissolve very rapidly, you can get them from most supermarkets within the baby food portion
tiny pieces of banana is good too!
anything else i'd skulk until 8 months like toast, small bits of cheese, macaroni pasta, grapes cut up intensely small, COOKED carrot sticks etc.
from 10 months they can eat much more but i wouldn't dispense things like rare carrot sticks or whole grapes until they're over 12months incase they choak!
basically my opinion though lol :-)
at most minuscule 8m or older and yes they can choke graceful without teeth
It's suggested that the child be able to sit up alone and know how to push food to the back of his mouth near his tongue and have at lowest two teeth. Don't give him/her anything beside a skin or that can't break down easily such as apples and oranges, cheerios' are fine because they do achieve soft.
Is your baby trying to "chew" foods when you nurture them? I would wait untill they are taking food powerfully (not just child cereal). Also.. Gerber makes Finger Foods (baby puffs) they liquefy in their mouths, so even if they don't comparatively have the sway of "chewing" yet, they can bar these.
And no... they don't necessarily need teeth to hold finger foods. They can "chew" with their gums. If you try some trial foods and they choke.. I would wait somewhat longer, and maybe try again the subsequent week.
8 months is generally a worthy age. Just watch your child close when they are intake. Start with the bitter biscuits and finger food puffs by gerber old pupils... They disolve easy and unfreeze in the mouth! Good luck and be equipped to clean up child because they make a huge mess!!
My son be 7 months and had 4 teeth when we started him on Gerber Puffs. I be a paranoid first-time mom and I made sure I could swallow one whole in the past giving it to my son. They dissolve way easier than Cheerios so I would start near those. My son never had a choking issue near them. Babies don't really use their teeth when they chew...they mash food next to their gums. My friend's son didn't get his first tooth until 10 months and he have already started eating finger foods beforehand that. Just use your best judgement and if your baby have trouble, don't force him/her to eat finger foods...lurk a little bit and try again contained by a few weeks!
