Baby on ship?

My mother is taking us(my family & brother's family) on a cruise. We will be going to Jamaica, Grand Cayman's and Cozumel. I know that they started requiring passports, does my 1 year old need one?

And will he need any type of special shots or anything? Also do they allow strollers on the ship?

Any for all those who have taken little ones, any tips??

Answer:
Yes, your child needs a passport and it will be good for 5 years. I took my 10 month old on the disney cruise ( had booked it and then realized I was pregnant) He will need all his normal required imunizations and yes, you can and should take a stroller ( but not on the beach!) Tips; sunscreen, 1 toy, lots of bibs instead of changes of clothes, diapers because they'll be $$$ and your camera. Think of all the great shots you'll get of him!
yes you need a passport and offcourse they allow strollers
no shots
its baby for christ sake
yes. i think strollers are allowed. the baby needs to have all the shots current.
Yes he will need a passport and you can take anything the baby needs that will fit with you:P
All passengers need passports, i work for CARNIVAL CRUISES and it needs a booster shot for the chicken pocks and an epidoral for hyperbole syndrome
to answer the passport question, ask the cruise line or call up the post office (they do passports so they might now) or even do a search online about where passports are needed. for the stroller question, contact the cruise line, they will be the best ones to answer whether or not they allow strollers. and for shots, ask the cruise line or even call your doctor. hope this helps you!!
yes the baby those need passports and need to take a strollers. go to the doctor and let him know that you will be going on a ship to these place and they will let you know if your baby needs shot.have fun in your trip
More than likely your child will come under your passport and will not require one of their own. Most cruiseships have a childminding service for you to utilize. See your doctor for any imunizations for you and your child(ren) they are kept up to date with all required travelling vaccinations.

My Tip HAVE FUN!! thats why you are there and take a small bottle to sea sick tablets with you, you may need them.
babies are very portable. for ease of movement i would use an umbrella stroller. as far as shots, they can be refused. the cruise line may make you sign a waiver if you don't wish to vaccinate, but odds are they won't ask and i wouldn't mention it.
a passport is recomended. but until 2008 the requirement is only if traveling into the US by AIR. just take the birth certificate.

have fun on the trip.
