Starting to feed from one breast ?
Answer:
He is most likely not hungry enough to nurse from both sides. Also, babies sometimes go thru spurts where they eat alot then not as much as they grow. Alternating sides each feeding will keep both side producing evenly. If you get uncomfortably full, pump the full breast and freeze the milk. He should be starting to use a sippy cup so you could thaw it and give it to him that way too.
Many babies develop a preference to one side or the other. Keep track of how many wet diapers he has, if he has at least six to ten wet diapers in a day then he's drinking enough.
Most start getting more comFortable on one side than the other, so regardless it's just important to switch sides.
Some babies often just develope a preference for one breast, or if that's not the case, are much more effective eatters by that age. Try pumping the breast he doesn't want after he gets done eatting, if you're becoming engorged or extra full on that side.
My baby was doing this, turns out the one side had a yeast infection, so check for that too.
