Is it possible for a 3 month old baby to teeth already?

My daughter is 8 days shy of being 3 months old and I have noticed that she has been biting her hands and has a dry cough (not constant just every now and then).she chews her hands when she is hungry but she has started to do it more.also she has had a lot more drool lately..she has also been abnormally fussy...she does have alittle congestiong from a previous cold.any thoughts moms??

Answer:
My son is about the same age and going through the same thing! I thought his fussiness was due to his nose being so stuffy, but now i think he's starting to teethe.

I read on babycenter.com that teething can start at around 3 months, and it's normal. It's also normal for symptoms of teething to start around 3 months, but an actual tooth not show through until months later.

I've been letting my son chomp on my finger, and putting crushed ice in a rag has also helped him, too, since he hates anything plastic in his mouth.
Yes it is very possible my kid started at the same age. My daughter had her first tooth at 6months.
it is very possible some babies are born with teeth so you never know when they will start to get them,,,for the teething pain try teething tablets they are great and safe you can use them as often as you want
I thought the same thing about my second baby. I think some babies just drool a lot earlier. It is unlikely she is actually teething. I have a four month old now, she's started the same stuff. I think that it is just normal behavior for the age combined with the lingering affects of a slight cold. Congrats on your little one.
She could be teething. babies can actually be born with teeth, rare though. each baby will teeth at different stages. But in your case, it does sound like teething to me! try bonjella.
The only way to know if she could be starting to teeth...look at her gums, if they are white and hard then most likey it is her chompers comming in. Or it could just be that she has finally figured out that her hands are attached and likes to put them in her mouth!
Im not sure but my first born son was born with the cuitest 2 little teeth , but he lost them some how , must have been so much calsiom because I have alwats been a milk drinker , they say milk does the body good smile , maybe a little to good .
Might not be nothing. It could be teething. But lots of babies drool and bite on stuff. My babe has all her teeth in and still bites and drools on stuff. Check for little knots on the gums. When teething they usually pick at there ears and run fever so i hope this helps. Give the little darling a frozen teething ring or what both of my kids preferred was a wet washcloth.
Yes, it's very possible for your baby to be teething, even though a tooth might not pop through for several months. My son started teething at 2.5 months, and a tooth didn't show until he was 9 months old. Excessive drooling, hand chewing, and fussiness are all signs of teething.

However, if she is running a fever and coughing, she could still have an infection, so keep an eye on her just in case it comes back.
She is teething. Especially if she is drooling more.
yes every kid is different, I saw a kid that had a tooth when he was born, my nephew got his first at 3 months, and my son started at 13 months he is now 3 yrs old.
good luck.
try using "baby oragel"
Yes it is completely possible. My son will be 5 months old on the 25th of this month and he already has his 2 bottom front teeth. The right one came in at 3 months 2 weeks and 3 days old and the second came in at 4 months 1 week 5 days old. While he was teething he drooled a TON, was really fussy woke up during the night sometimes as much as 3 times (He had been sleeping all night since he was 7 weeks old) was fussy at feedings and just wanted to chew on his bottle nipple. He also started pulling his blanket or bib into his mouth to chew on it. If she happens to be teething a really good trick I learned to help soothe my son was taking a dry washcloth (the baby kind - one that has just been washed in hot water no soap) and dampening one corner and than putting it in the fridge or freezer. He would chew on that and it soothed his sore little gums without the risk of those teething cookies. (the teething rings were to big for his mouth so the washcloth worked great -my pedi gave us the idea when she was shocked to find out he was teething so early)
yes, I have three kids, the first one started teething at 2 months but didn't pop a tooth until 8 months, the second one had all his teeth, except 2 year molars by eight months, and the third popped his first tooth at four months. Use a frozen washcloth and good luck
YES! My lil boy had two teeth at four months couldnt believe it...he also started chewing on everything so I put him on solids and havnt looked back since! All you can do its try it does take about ten to twenty times for them to get used to the texture but in the end it worked.

Also are her gums hardening up and turning white of so this is another sign that the poor lil thing is teething
It is possible. It is also possible for babies to be born with a tooth or two. And from what you are saying your baby is doing, my baby did the same thing, but a tooth didnt come in until about two months later.
Yes..it is. My first child at 2 teeth erupting at 10 weeks old. Check her gums and see if you notice white bumps.
