2 month old baby girl?

what to do when infant 2 month old has days and nights mixed up

Answer:
You poor dear. When it is night time turn off all the lights, at the same time each night so there is a consistant pattern. Have only a small night light to change the diapers and feed her in the dark. Make being awake at night really boring. She will get into the swing of things.

PS...Please do not listen to those who tell you to give her cereal, her digestive system is not ready yet and it could clog her intestines.

Good Luck
you have to deal with it i would try to put ceral in bottle at the night time feeding and all and you can try to play more keep up like 3 hours before you want her to go to sleep and all and ayou can give a warm bathe and all.
yes, warm bath, cereal and play.
try to keep the baby awake more during the day.
when he falls asleep wake him up. give him colorful things to look at and talk to him.
giving him a bath might help too.
good luck
by now the baby should be starting to get into a pattern, lay abby down around 8pm each night and keep doing that until baby gets use to it. i have a crib toy that sings on teh side of my baby;s crib so if hes awake w2hen i lay him down i turn that on to soothe him to sleep. the worst thing you can do is get baby to sleep then lay them down, they need to leqarn to soothe there selves to sleep.during the day play with baby and entertain him or her to keep them awake more. im a mom of 3 and my youngest is 7 weeks old so take my advice adn let baby learn to fall asleep on there own at night in there crib. when my first was this age so was there cousin my sis in law fought till 2am every night tryin to get that baby to sleep rather than trying what i did. good luck
slowly but surely put the baby down later for naps and bed giving ceareal at bed time to ensure longer sleeping patterns and wake them up more during the day.
There isn't much you can do about it. I would keep the lights off at night when changing and interacting with the baby, try not to talk as that engages her. Also, try to get her into the sun for some time during the day, that will help reset her circadian rhythms. I wouldn't suggest keeping her up during the day as you will just end up with a cranky baby who doesn't sleep much at night.
try keeping her up as much as possible i alway's gave mine a real warm bath about 8:00 let em relax in the water i used lavender and cammamile(sp)soap by johnson and johnson it smell's great and relax's baby then a warm bottle and off to bed it's worked for me i hope it help's you
Well... You can try keeping the baby up most of the day. But your baby might just get real fussy from being tired. Try to keep your baby busy during the day... Move him/her around. Dangle toys in front of him or her. It'll keep you busy and tired, but it'll pay off eventually. My baby was like that for the first 3 weeks. On her own she would stay up most of the day. Which is makes your day so much busier. She's had her nights down since then and she is now 15 weeks old. Good Luck to You. If you have questions you can email me.
This happens A LOT. DON'T do the cereal thing yet. I am a doctor myself and I can tell you that the baby is not ready for rice cereal at 2 months. The cereal is harder for them to digest, so they stay fuller longer...which is convenient for you but not them. While they are digesting it they aren't getting the nutrients necessary, and all of the undigested cereal may even prohibit the intake of necessary nutrients the next day. Wait until at least 4 months...preferably 6...and be sure to ask your pediatrician.

The best thing to do is to try and grind it out, keeping the baby up during the day and forcing them into a sleep-routine at night by sheer resolve.

Try a routine and stick with it! That's what I did. When mine was 2 mos. we started with a little routine where we would play from about 5:30 - 7 pm, listen to the radio, etc, and then we would have bath time. After bath time I would take him into the nursury and give him his bottle in the dark. He got into the habit soon enough.
