How old was your baby when he/she started smiling? Proper smiles, not wind!?

Answer:
Both my kids were about 5-6 weeks old when they started smiling properly. Before this they smiled with their eyes. You can tell the difference because if its wind it tends to be just one side of their mouth that curls up, whereas when its a proper smile its both sides. Its so rewarding to see them smile in the beginning and we took loads of photos! I remember saying to my health visitor when my little girl was about 2 weks old that she smiled at me and she said matter of factly that it was just wind. It felt sooo cruel!!
about 3 months old soo cute too i have it on tape
5 days old
4 months I think
10 days old for the first one, about a week for the second one.
6 weeks i think
Alex was about 3 weeks old - you can tell the difference between wind and a proper smile by whether they draw their knees up - normally if it is wind they will draw them up but if they are looking at you and are relaxed then it is a smile - and how wonderful they are!
six weeks old and defiantly not wind
First smile was actually on mummy's birthday, when he was about 8 weeks.
My daughter was exactly six weeks old. I was singing a silly song to her and kind of "popped" my face down at her and made a funny sound. She smiled!! I then did it again to see if the smile was real, and she smiled again!!! I then knew exactly how to make her smile.
I don't remember the exact time the smiles were real, but I do remember the first time that my son really laughed out loud. It was Mother's Day and he was 2 1/2 months old. It was the best sound that I have ever heard!
She is just now starting to smile spontaneously at one month. You can tell the difference between gas and the real deal if she is smiling and it's just her/his mouth (gas) or if it involves her/his whole face.like if you see dimples, or the smile reaches her eyes.that's the real thing!
My brother was 4 months old and my nephew was 3 months old when they started smiling.
Both of my children were about 2 months old when they started smiling. A little tickle on the cheek (by the ear) usually gets them going. They don't actually start laughing until they're about 3 or 4 months though. Hearing that first laugh just makes you melt. :)
around 2 or 2 1/2 months
Both were aound six weeks, and I think that is the average age for most babies.
1 month...
4 weeks old
seven weeks
she was about 6 weeks old
5 weeks and I missed it!

Average is about 6 weeks
3 weeks old and it was REAL!
He was around 4 months and let me tell you it was so cute!
My son was 2 and a half months old.
It really made me laugh at the same time scared me because my baby was just a few days old. and he looked and just gave this big ol smile.. I didnt think it was normal and i thought it was just his reflexes but from that day on he has been smiling.
at 5 weeks. i had tears in my eyes. her whole face was glowing.
you mite think yea right but my baby was 3 days old and i no the diff between wind and that beautiful smile.it was definitely the smile.

Her eyes started to smile at about 3 weeks, and her mouth followed suit at about 4 weeks.
