The new ones suck! They look stupid (they don't even look like worms! They have peach faces and they wear clothes!), plus like you said, they blast music and don't light up very long. I like the ones from the 80s, they were all green and lit up and looked more like a green worm and they were cuter!
I have no idea where to get the "old-skool" Glow Worm...I'm sure they don't even make them anymore. You could probably find some on ebay, but you run the risk of it being old and used...though sometimes you can still find toys in the boxes on ebay. I was thinking of doing that.
This websie sells them for $10-$15. Ebay would probably sell used...I never buy used stuffed toys...to many germs...

My son has one that we found at Rite-Aide pharmacy. I think they had them at Wal-Mart at one time. My son drives me crazy sometimes with his because he hasn't figured out how to squeeze it to make his head light up.
