Does anyone know how many ultrasounds tenncare pays for?

Answer:
It should say specifically in your policy, if not call them. Generally insurances pay for 1 ultra sound unless it is necessary for you to get more (the doctor has to request it and he or she should check to make sure you are covered before setting up the second ultra sound. I dont have tenncare but I hope this helps
Call your insurance and request the information. Most insurances no longer cover more than one ultrasounds and most medical professionals no longer recommend getting more than one. Including the one to check the baby's sex.

With my first baby, the insurance covered 1 and only 1. This was done when I was only 10 weeks pregnant. Had I wanted to know my baby's gender I would have had to pay for it out of pocket.

With my second pregnacy, twins, I was sent once a month, every month without fail. Why? Because the doctors specifically requested it since twins bumped me into the higher risk category.

So, check with your insurance and make sure you know. You don't want to be charged for something that you didn't know wasn't covered. Of course, your healthcare provider should check this for you first, but you might want to double check for yourself.
I think most insurances anly pay for 2 but if needed more for a medical emergency they will cover more
