3 month old always rubs his eyes?

I have noticed my 3 month old always rubbing his eyes. He does it all the time, not only when hes tired. He rubs the left one alot more than the right one. Anyone know a reason why?

Answer:
well...it might not seem like much now for one keep his nails cut. dust very often with a moist instead if dry towel (which flicks the dust around) have him tested for allergies also...do u have popcorn style cielings? dust and other things can fall of (Even the little tiny pieces) which could be in his eyes and not yours because he faces the cieling alot more than you do (if u have them) if u do, use a staple gun to put up a sheet or blanket over your cielings, (which is hard of u have things like fans, lighting, etc, if os, just pin one on the cieling over his bassenet, baby bed, wherever else he lays and faces the cieling) but u siad he does it when sleepy, so its probably no big deal
good luck hope i was of some help!
Might want to have him checked for allergies.
Most babys rub their faces and eyes,as long as there is no puss or anything coming out of them he will be fine, this is very normal.Maybe if he does one side more than the other is that may be he will be left handed.
sounds like allergies to me. my son has allergies and he has always messed with his face, even as an infant.

is he dry? if so, maybe a baby moisturizing lotion would help him.

i would definitely get it checked when you take him to the pediatrician again.

take care,
SD
