Belly Button Cord Question??
Answer:
You need to take her to the pediatrician's office to get the rest of it off! They will put sulfate on it...this will make the cord fall off! Please do this! Plus, it should not be bleed either...tell them this!
have you tried cleaning it with alcohol. My daughters didn't fall off till she was almost 3 weeks old I use alcohol to help it a long. If it has bled then you should probably call your pediatrician before using the alcohol on it.
be patient these things take time
You should go to the doctor. The umbilical cord was NOT supposed to get wet at all. This could potentially get infected. Go to the doctor and they'll help you with it. Best of Luck!
I don't know if you've tried this, but I think my mom put alcohol on her kid's umbilical cords... it dries it out and makes it fall off.
You shouldn't be wetting the cord at all...that can lead to infection. My son's cord took 17 days to fall off, and sometimes bled if it was rubbed against(by diaper, clothing, etc...), but, since you have been wetting the cord, I recommend at least calling your doctor and asking about it.
