How long does it take your body to get back to normal after you have a baby?
Answer:
After having had three babies, I think I can answer this question. I had C-sections too. I guess it is dependent on how much weight you gain. I was careful and only gained 20 lbs. However, in about two months, I had lost the weight. Keep in mind though, if it takes 9 months for your body to change, it also takes a good 9 months for your body to have the same exact measurements again. You gain fat when you become pregnant inevitably and it takes 9 months to gain and lose it.
forever!
My youngest will be 8 on Sunday and I am still waiting!!
i have a 10 monht old and im still waiting...on the hopefuly side: all my friends with kids ranging from 5 months - 10 monhts seem back to normal.
You will have a new definition of normal. You can get back in shape, lose all the weight, etc. but your body will never be the same. I'm in the best shape of my life and weigh less than I did before I had kids but my butt is lower and flatter and my waist, ribs, hips and shoulders are wider. If you are nursing most of the "baby weight" will come off as long as you don't overeat but it will take at least three months before you're back in your prepregnancy clothes. I strongly recommend that you join a gym with a good childcare facility and start working out as soon as you're ready - it will be good for your mind and body. Good luck!
It depends on your metabolism and your genetics of how you carry your weight and lose weight. Did your mother get back to normal after having you, this makes a big difference whether you will get back to normal. Also do you have time to work-out to try to burn-off some of the extra calories you gained from your pregnancy? As long as you in-take fewer calories then you burn on a daily basis you will lose weight.
never. i got within 5 pounds of my pre-baby weight and none of my old clothes came close to fitting.
This is a loaded question. The answer depends on several factors. How active were you before and during the pregnancy? Were there any complicating conditions to the pregnancy or delivery? How active are you able to be now while taking care of the baby? Are there other scheduled demands on your time in addition to caring for baby? Given all these questions, also remember that it took nine months to get that baby body. Your hormones must readjust and internal organs must realign as well. Some ladies' bodies seem to go back overnight. Don't put pressure on yourself. The are the exception, not the rule.
Oddly, I had my child a month ago...I weigh less now than I did before I was pregnant. I can fit into my pre-preggo clothes and the only thing is I am working out to get rid of the lil pooch that was left over.
But then again, I am young and they say the younger you are the quicker and better your body goes back into shape.
depends on the person i guess.. my lil girl is 2 an i just got back down to 120 pounds an found out i was pregnant again.. But a friend of mine had a baby an like 3 months later you couldn't even tell she had one..
