I have a 10 month old and has not started to crowll or wanted to?
Answer:
I'd give it another month. My nephew didn't start crawling until he was a year and he didn't start walking until he was 1 year and half. He's fine. He's just a quiet baby who is't all that crazy about moving here and there. He's normal, just not like most babies in the loud and active department.
Call her doc. No need to run her up to the ER because you just realized she's not crawling.
Have you kept up on your well baby checkups? I would think that'd be part of the checkup. Yes, ask the doctor. This is not an emergency, so I would not take her to the hospital.
my ex husband's nephew did not crawl till a year old and did not walk till close to a year and a half old. he was a lil overweight.
my son is 11 months he started to crawl 2 1/ 2 weeks ago. every child is different my son learned to sit up at 9 month unsupported yet my sister baby is crawling sitting up at 7 months. don't worry about it
does your baby get enough floor time?
my son hated the floor that's one reason he crawl at 10 months and sat up at 9. try doing more floor time sit on the floor put toys all around my son learned when i put him around all his toys he finally went after one that was out of his reach. now he is non stop .
My son didn't crawl until he was 10 months old. He didn't walk until 17 months. My best friends son started crawling one week before his 1st birthday. All kids are different. She will start when she's ready!
All babies reach these milestones at different ages. Especially if your baby was premature. Have you been taking her to her checkups? If you are concerned though, I would say to call your doctor. It never hurts to take them to the doctor and make sure everything is okay. I don't see any need in going to the hospital though. Just remember that babies are all different. Some babies will go straight to walking and may skip crawling altogether. Try no to worry too much. Good luck.
kids are different, I used to babysit alot and one kid was walking by 6-7 months and another wasn't until 13 months. They take it at different steps. But to be on the safe side, you might want to mention it to the pediatrician and he might want you to take your baby to a therapist just to make sure everything is working right. Is she up to date with other physical activities like picking things up, babbling, and stacking some things??
Does your daughter get around in other ways (rolling, creeping, alligator crawling)? It could be she prefers another mode of conveyance to regular crawling. If she doesn't get around at all and just sits where you put her, I'd talk to her doctor.
Is she pulling up and trying to stand? My second child never crawled. He scooted on his belly. If she is sitting up and trying to pull up, she is fine. If she hasn't started crawling by 1, they she might have a delay in her motor skills. A lot of states offer early childhood development programs to help get skills back on track!
Crawling is not a developmental milestone because many babies never do it.
As long as your baby is doing new things every week, learning to do old things better and not loosing skills or strength she is fine.

My little boy at ten months old would just sit wherever I put him and would not attempt to move, this continued till he was about 12 months old when he started to crawl. He only crawled for two weeks than starting walking. In fact some children don't crawl at all and go straight to walking. But if worried I would mention it to your doctor or health visitor, for your own peace of mind. t also worth thinking about your child's development in general. If there is a problem you probably would be seeing other delays but if your child is doing well in other areas I wouldn't be concerned. It is important to remember that every child develops at different rates and they do things in they own time
She is fine. I have been a mom for 27 years and have 4 children. I also have been a licensed child care provider in my home for 20 years. Crawling is something that some kids just don't do. Others crawl early and some crawl late. My own youngest daughter did not crawl until she was 1 year old and didn't walk until she was 15 months old. She is now 9 years old and is just fine. It is a myth that kids have to crawl before they can walk. Currently I am watching a little boy who will be 1 on March 3. He does not crawl either. He rarely rolls over. He is perfectly content to sit on a blanket on the floor, play with toys, and watch the other children. He is a first born and mom was worried, too. I told her that I thought he was just fine, but she works at a pediatrician's office and took him in to be sure. All 3 doctors and both nurse practitioners checked him over to ease her worries. All said he was fine. If you are worried, call your doctor and ask for an appointment to ease your worry. No need to go to the hospital.
Baby's will crawl at different times, this is not something you should be too concerned about, it'll happen soon enough.
dont worry all babies r different my daughter and nephew were born in the same week and my daughter was crawling and walking b4 him, he didnt crawl at all he shuffled on his bum until one day at almost 1 year he stood up! he was a big boy a heavy baby
Dose he have any toys that move around by themselves. The reason I ask this is because that's what we had to use to get my little girl crawling. Because she was determined to get that toy.Other than that I would just give it time.
Well my goodness is this first one? help the little one. you put their kneesup scoot them and do it teach them he will or she. its easy to show them also put them in walker now and put blankets and let them go. hey if they are helped they learn very fast. and they love it.
