What equipment/kit is required to take a baby swimming?

Answer:
you really don't need anything to take baby swimming if you intend on holding it the entire time.
not much just dont let go.!
It is really a matter of personal choice, so long as baby has a swimming costume/trunks and a towel you are set to go. Some people use swimming nappies, if they are worried about baby having an 'accident'. Some people use inflatable seats for baby, I just pop my daughter in her costume and off we go, we have never had any 'accidents' and she seems to like being free to splash/kick as she pleases.
How old is the baby?
Indoors or outdoors?
If baby is 6 mos or older and you're swimming outside, you'll want to put sunscreen on baby.
You'll want some kind of swim diapers.
A mesh sling is nice because then you can just walk around in the water with baby in the sling..no fears of dropping a wet, slippery baby.
swimming costume, towel, swimming nappy and a baby floater unless your holding baby
