Black moms.at what age do you start putting rubberbands in little girls hair?
Answer:
I just started to do my daughter's hair and she is already nine months. The reason it took me so long was because I didnt see no point in rushing to do it all though friends and family was alway in my ear about. Anyways I use the little scrunches made for babies. I bought them for walmart for about 2-3 dollars and they work great. They dont pull her hair out and are never too tight and they never get tangles in her hair. Also, if u dont know what kind of moisturizer to use because I sure didnt just to let u know the luster's pink lotion mosturizer light work great on my baby's hair. She has really good hair and it curls right on up after I use that and is never left greasy. You should try that if u havent used it yet
Is that why black people have such nappy hair? Try NOT using rubber bands!
I'm not black, but my daughter is mixed. I started putting rubberbands in her hair when she was about 4 months. I only waited cause I couldn't get her to hold still. So I say, whenever you want.
I'd say Never!!I just had a baby 3 months ago and I would never put rubberbands in her hair. They not only pull hair out but they're hard to take, out too! I know this because I my aunt used them on her child. You don't want to use those. I say find one of those hair stores and get the scrunchees. They are very slim dark and stretchy just like rubberbands and they hold just as good.
Try not to use rubber band, it break there hair out. Try braided without. Wait until her hair get strong.
There are special rubber bands in woolworths coles and Kmart and other store i am from Australia they are really good for little girls hair i ued them on my daughters haor..
good lucky anyway
p.s i am not a black mom, but i live in a communityof black moms
It depends on the type of rubberband. Don't use the usual rubber bands, use the fabric covered ones and cut them out of her hair rather than pull.
I obviously don't fit the profile, but I would really worry about her pulling the band off and choking on it. My daughter had some small bows and barrettes that she wouldn't leave alone- I found one in her mouth one day and said no way!
Good luck!
