What does your 13 month old eat?
Answer:
oh my gosh my daughters 13 months too..its so hard to figure out what they want to eat?// I try and give my daughter something to eat that contains the non-seasoned crap for the babies so usually i give her cherios and her milk (in a sippy cup) for breakfast along with a cereal bar, luch she eats a grilled chesse sandwich cut into tiny pieces with juice (in a sippy also), for dinner she has what me and her father have but WAY smaller portions chopped into tiny pieces i usually sit her at the table with us but not with the high chair top so she will be level with us and try and eat all of her food? WHEN SHE GETS full she just starts throwing the food everywhere lol.
Well, remembering that babies usually do not get their full back teeth (fundamental in proper digestion, chewing and grinding the food) till they are near 18 mo. old, a 13 mo. in my home would be having a nice warm breakfast of 2T. rice cereal, 1 whole banana, 2 T. of applesauce and 1 whole egg, stirred all together and cooked for 2 min. on the stove, then cooled just a bit, and a sippy cup of water offered. For lunch baby would be having 2 T. of pureed beef or chicken, 2 T. of pureed veg., 1 whole banana, 2 T. of applesauce and 2 T. of rice cereal, stirred together and again heated for 2 min. on the stove. This would be the same menu for dinner. Anything not eaten would be thrown out b/c saliva breaks down the food that is left over and bacteria begins to grow. Water is offered all during the day. Baby is happy, has a completely well balanced nutritious meal and thousands of babies in the South are fed this way using Dr. Lelia Denmarks recommendations. To note: Dr. Denmark will be 109 years old in Feb. I wanna live to be at least 100 so I guess I'll do what she does. :) Have fun with your baby. Feed her well. Remember that snacks between meals keep babies (and adults) digestive system working all day long and it doesn't get time to rest and empty before new foods are dropped ontop of the half digested bit. This can cause tummy pain and definitely is damaging to the colon over time. God Bless. Eat well, Live Well. diannatriplett@yahoo.com
