What is a great family game to play and get the kids involved with out making them board?
Answer:
monoply(the grinch or spongebob/ junior depending how old the kids are)
life(sponge bobn or normal)
clue
guess who
mouse trap
candy shop(or sdomething like that!)
teach them card games
buy a peice of bristol board(one for each kid and ur spouse/yourself!)...each of you design your own board game(rules, board itself, player, other things needed for the game,etc)..and play each of them once a week or something. that way your kids are involved and obviously they will liike the game they made up so it wont bore them...or sll of u as a family spend monday night-saturday night making up a game and on sunday night before the kids go to bed play it! it makes it that much more fun!! do a different one every week..whio knows maybe you can go see someone n actually get one of the games put on the market...a guy from a ciity not from from mine did so and made wekll over 10,000 $ on the first day of sales thru out canada!
good luck!
Sorry is actually a game it is 4-player and good. What are the ages?
Monopoly..pick the version they would be most interested in...Disney perhaps.
We used to play Clue a lot.and the new version looks very cool.has a DVD included to play while watching.
We always played sorry, monopoly, life, uno(attack or spin are interesting). With monopoly and life they now have the "other" editions such as sponge bob if you kids are younger.
my son loves candy land and chutes and ladders. i like them too.
Children can turn into 2x4's now? oh noes!
Apples to Apples.
Apples to apples is a great game. It gets the whole family involved
A good newer game is "Ticket to Ride". Depends on your kids' ages, though, probably better for ages 10 and up.
I think the key to any games played with kids are to make sure that they are playing on the same "level" as you, games such as Simon, Memory, Perfection, and Connect Four are great to play with kids in the early elementary age.
As for older kids, I have played games that are not massed produced/Walmart shelved. Two of the best I have come across are Carcasson and Settlers of Cattaan. Both are simple games that can be learned in the matter of minutes. But on the more popular games, I would suggest teaching them card games, such as gin and canasta, as well as playing games such as Sorry, Parcheesi, and Chinese Checkers.
It's wonderful to see someone using games for entertainment, but remember, they also teach winning and losing gracefully, sportsmanship and many other useful social tools.!
My family loves Uno Attacks! Our kids are 2 and 6 and it's great to teach them colors and numbers. Plus the cards come shooting out at you and the kids love to press the button. Twister is another great game. A little dated but still fun!

Apples to Apples is a great game for four or more players. I just played this with a 7-year-old, two teens, a thirty-something friend, and my 40-something self, and we all were laughing and having fun.
Well depending on your kids age. I like to play with my 5 and 7 year old Monopoly, Jr. Scrabble, picturnary, uno, Hungry Hippo try those my kids never get tired of those.
Cranium
Typecast, Encore and Stare are all a lot of fun and entertaining for the whole family.
I think you mean "bored".
Uno is a good game for kids to play. Depending on their ages, you could buy some marbles and teach them how to play. Kids love to play marbles.
Depending on the age, cranium is a fun game.
Spoons!
