What time should a 7yr old go to bed on a school night?weekend?

Answer:
To get the best to get your child up in the morning they should get at least 11hrs of sleep or more...

7:30pm is a good action, but 8pm is the limit...
9 or 10 is good.
8 or 9
I'd say about 8:30 on a school night, maybe 10:00 on weekends. They are so active during their days that they need the extra rest to compensate.
When I was 7 to 12 I had a bedtime of 8pm. I hated it. I reccomend letting them choose their own time to go to bed. The first couple of times they will prolly stay up late but when they get dragged out of bed for school the next morning they will learn their lesson.
8:00 on school night and prob like 9 or 10 on weekend
8:30pm on a school night. weekends I let him stay up later, usually between 9:30 and 10:30. He gets up early though
This depends on what time he needs to get up for school, but a good rule of thumb is 8 hours of sleep. So he could go to bed later on the weekends if he will have the opportunity to sleep in and go to bed earlier during the week when he needs to wake up for school.
A lot will depend on how much sleep will actually make the child feel rested. You should have him/her in bed by 9 on weeknights unless the child feels sluggish the next day. Then adjust the time by 15 minutes at a time to set what is best for the child. The weekend...10 is plenty late unless you are going out of town or something you won't be back at that time.
I think all children should be in the bed by nine. Exspecially on school night.
8:00 pm on school nights.9:00 pm on weekends...If u let them go to bed any later it will throw off they sleeping habits .Once in awhile stayin up on friday night is a treat though.Good luck
Bedtime varies depending on the child. I used to have a rule that worked very well with my kids. As long as you're pulling good grades, (nothing lower than a C, with A's + B's in the majority), and you don't give your mother a hard time in the morning, a later bedtime could be earned. 7 years old, start at 8 or 9 pm. If they toe the line, give an extra half hour. If they still keep getting good grades and don't act like a grump old bear in the morning, try another half hour. You'll know when they're at their limit.

Remember, you're the one setting the time. They are EARNING a later bed time. Just as it can be earned for good behavior, it can be taken away for bad behavior.

Weekends, I generally gave an extra hour on Fridays and Saturdays. But it was back to regular times on Sundays.

Good Luck,.
eight thirty school night. 11 pm weekend if they can hang that long which i doubt. if parents out nine thirty
Hey, I have a 6 almost 7 year old. She goes to bed at 8:30 on Weeknights and 10 or 10:30 on weekends unless daddy has special plans with her, then I play it by ear. If she gets to bed much later than her bedtime, she is exhausted the next day before and after school. Hope this helps! Oh by the way, I had a 9:00 bedtime until i was 16 lol!
My 9 year old goes to bed at 8:00
When he turns 10 then I will move it to 8:30
The weekends as long as he is minding his manners and walking a straight line then I let hime stay up until 11:00 if he is not already asleep, which he is normally out before 10:00, I think sometimes it is just the idea of being able to stay up
8:30pm
my son is 6 and i make him and my 4 yr old daughter go to bed at 8;00 so at 7 maybe 9;00 depends on how cranky they are when they wake up. weekends 9 or 10
My daughter has to be in bed at eight oclock on a school night but she can read for a half hour till 8.30 when the lights go out. On the weekends around 9-930 depending on how cranky she is getting.
depending on what time they get up at, most children need about 9-10 hours sleep
