I think its important kids be well-informed before they start getting mis-information from their friends. My oldest daughter will be turning 8 soon and I plan on beginning the dialogue slowly letting her know that I'm the one she should be coming to if/when she hears something at school or on television or from her friends. I don't think there is ONE SEX TALK - i think it's a gradual set of conversations that start early and progress as the child is older and has better abilities to understand.
