What's the most cash you'd spend on your kid's birthday?
Answer:
my parents have never spent more on my birthday than $45, that includes gifts and cake, and dinner if we go out. but for my "perfect" older brother my parents have spent over $400 on his birthdays. always a go-cark place or the movies, or any thing he waants to do. I don't get that choice.
damn that's a lot. i'd say about... $100-$200 =)
i woild not pay more then 300 dollers if you want a good party but if pay more then that your totally over paying
LOL, yeah 38,000 is way too much.I spend money throughout the year when I see gifts for my kids and at their birthdays I usually spend around 100-150 each.
I believe that is too much. I couldn't imagine spending that much ever but I guess maybe for their 16th b-day if I am buying them a car but still I wouldn't spend that much.
um including food loot bags invites ppr products and presents i'd say no more than 300.00, except when my son turned 4 we got him a dirtbike...
I have to agree with you.
My daughter turns 1 year old soon, and I'm having a small, family party for her. With dollar store decorations, and a cake and ice cream, and maybe a few other appetizers for the guests, plus a gift, I'm estimating a total of $50 or less.
I'm sure the older she gets, the more expensive she'll be, but for now she's only 1 and won't even care. Regardless, I doubt we'll EVER spend even $1000 on her birthday, much less $38000! That's just "stupid money!"
That would depend on how many people are coming. Plus what you will be doing. Also what can you afford?
WOW! That is a lot they must be millionaires and even then thats too much for a bday party. The most I spent is 1,500 but thats because I had it at Disneyland and invited more people then I first expected LOL. But on previous parties I usually spend between 300-500 and that includes EVERYTHING!!
And good question by the way, that is going overboard for a childs bday party, especially since it's not a "DJ" party or a sweet 16 LOL
200$ is more than enough...they usually just care about the gifts they get anyway. People that spend that much as usually just trying to out do another family. Kids like to have fun, that doesnt mean you have to take a loan out for a party
like 150 dollars maybe
I spent $3,500 on my daughter's 1st birthday party.
$1,600 for catered food
$280 for the picnic area
$200 for barney
$80 for a 3 in 1 bounce house
$200 for a cupcake cake
$150 for carousel and train tickets for all guest
$700 for party favors
$25 for invitations (I made them on my own and had costco print them)
The rest was party supplies.
And I thought I was paying a lot...
We live in an extremily wealthy area ( # of millionaires per capita # 5 in US). Unfortunately for my family we are "worker bees, here to take care of the Queen Bees). My 4 year old grandaughter went to a bday party at a multimillion $ house. They had everything for a carnival, rides, ponies, cotton candy machine, clowns, catered food (for 4 year olds), magicans, balloon artists, face painters. Everything you can imagine. I wonder how much this party cost. After that the cookout at the local park/playground was a let down for my grandaughter. She was upset that we didn't have at least a pony!
If you have $38,000 extra money to spend on your child's birthday, I say go for it.
Their $38,000 might be "our" or a "typical" persons $200?
I don't have a limit. Depends on what they want/need. If it is something HUGE, then they have to wait for Christmas.
The most I think I spent was about $2,000 for two sets of twins at that age, but $38,000 I could think of better things to do with that amount.
These people are obviously trying to make up for something. I would only spend (with cake, decorations and my gift) around $100 if that. Do you remember your third birthday? So why spend so much money?
Last year we spent about $600 on my 6 year old sons birthday party. We had it at a Party Playhouse and it included everything. Playtime in a big jumper house, slides, rock climbing etc., Round Table Pizza, soda and Capri Sun for over 60 people and then playtime in the arcade including tokens.
This place took care of everything...the only thing extra I had to buy was the cake. It was worth it too because we had the party there and when the party was over...we didn't have to clean up...they do EVERYTHING.
His birthday is coming up again in April and I asked him what he wanted to do...he said Disneyland...so off we go...
Hope this helped!
DEAR
THEY ARE THE RICH ONES NOT US ? WE ARE ALL ON A FAMILY BUDGET THESE DAYS THE WORKING PEOPLE WE ARE ALL NOT MOVIE STARS MUSIC STARS MODELS THAT IS WHY I SAY THAT YOU SHOULD ONLY SPEND WITH FOOD TOYS PARTY STUFF NO MORE THEN ($50.00) BECAUSE ALSO KEEP IN MIND NOT ALL KIDS AND PARENTS WILL EAT ONCE ALL THE GIFTS HAS BEEN OPENED AND THE BIRTHDAY CAKE EAT THEN PEOPLE WILL LEAVE AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TOO MUCH CAKE ICE CREAM PUNCH ETC. OK PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND I HOPED THIS HELPS TAKE CARE.
Most birthdays I've planned for my son came out to about $210... I never invited older family members, just his friends from school, usually about 10-20 max..
we are planning my daughter 6th b day now and she wants high school musical and she is inviteing her whole K class 22 kids and will be held at Mc Donalds I think we will be paying somewhere between 200 and 300 we are not done getting everything yet ..as for 38,000 on a b day for any age is nuts we are military and we barely make that a year.. but i agree with you that is WAY TO MUCH..
no no no that's crazy.
I had a lot of people at my daughter's first b-day but I did not do favors or anything- just a lot of food that I cooked myself and good wine, beer and cocktails. I spent about $400 including decorations. That's it- from here on out it's cake and ice cream with the family and some kind of seperate outing with a few other children her age.
The christening was different- we ended up spending a few thousand on that but we're Armenian Orthodox so it's the christening, 1st communion and confirmation all in one and it's a super important day. We're off the hook for religious celebrations until her wedding. For which we are already saving.
