3 reasons why?

Why its better for teenagers to get more sleep?

Answer:
To help them concentrate during the day
To help them learning... you can't learn if your falling asleep in class
To help them develop properly.sleep is important in the teenage development process
to cut down on mood swings
to help brain power
and most important *beauty sleep:)
1 Gives you more energy to your chores done when you do wake up

2 You will be refreshed and ready to study without falling asleep

3 Means you will be in bed no later than 10 pm
Teenagers are going through huge changes in their brains and in their bodies (growth, maturation, etc.). Hormones needed for growth and sexual maturation are released mostly during sleep.

Teenagers are going through psychological changes, and extreme moodiness and irritability is also something that is hormone based, so sleeping for more than 7 hours a night can help regulate the hormones and greatly reduce the mood swings.

Teenagers are learning a lot in school, and "cramming" and "all nighters" do not help teenagers actual learn the material. Studying at normal hours, and in controlled ways, and getting enough sleep, help learning, and also greatly reduces stress.

(Stress releases cortisol in the body and can weaken the immune system, so it is best to learn how to control it when you are young.)
1. More time at home asleep= less time out on the street getting in trouble
2. Sleep feels good
3. Better skin, hair and weight management
a teens body is still going through a lot of changes even at 17. And it takes more time for them to recharge than an adult in their 30's
