What do you do with ALL of the Halloween candy your kids bring home?
Answer:
EAT IT
You help them eat it!
Pick out the stuff I like, let them have a few pieces a night until the "new" fades away. Once they forget it' s there.. TOSS IT!
They'll never know the difference!
inspect it for any open wrappers or candy tht ur not sure of.just make sure u limit there candy intake daily
You go and sell it on the black market. Then you invest the money into a 401k account for your kids. Then you go and fly away to the moon!! w00t moon!
w00t ebay! I mean black market!
make sure u limit there candy intake daily wtf? don't do that. let them get sick off their heads with candy. then they'll eat less then next halloween.
chow out.
what i used to do is tell them they can eat it whenever they want after a week it goes in the garbage. they would you it until they felt sick and would beg me to take it after about 3 days. it works like a charm.
First we go through it all to make sure it is safe,, then i get my lil favorites lol,,, i do not allow the kids to keep it in thier room , as having 4 kids dentist bill can soar, I pool all the candy together , separate it in to catagories. The kids get a piece for school and a lil treat here and there ,seems to work good for us.
well actually my candy well ALL my candy i threw it away b-cz sum candys could hav poison i like going trick or treatin but i dont like eatin tha candy cz u neva know who put sumthin in it
Pick out all the good chocolate stuff for myself. DUH!
what my three kids always do is sort there candy into different piles according on what kinds they are. they trade eachother with the kinds they dont like. just take the kinds you like and if they argue tell them they dont get any of it!lol, but dont mean it!!
Of course check it first!! Then sort according what you would allow them to eat, what you like to eat. Send a piece or 2 to school with their lunch. Bag some for your co-workers. Candy can last for a while save some for xmas and make little bags for xmas, send some to school teacher for classroom.
If you don't want them to eat it, you could tell them they can trade in some candy for a toy or something - - Or take it to work and let everyone there eat it or donate it to a church or something!! I know there are places that take donations for the troops, too... try http://www.adopt-a-chaplain.org... - - those guys would probably love it! :)
The first thing you should do is go through and inspect all of it for signs of tampering (loose wrappers, home wrapped, etc.) just to be safe. Then let them enjoy it (in moderation). Its a shame to have to worry about doing this but there are too many hurtful people anymore not to.
My daughter is only 2 so I let her have a piece of chocolate and a sucker the first night. Than I gave most of it away at work. ( We don't eat alot of sugar) Then I save her the suckers and twizzlers for when she has done something really good!
If I had little kids I would divide it up into their bowl and then my great big bowl. I would have to hide it as I would be eating it all. I love candy.
Each day I bring a trick or treat pumpkin with candy to work and put it in the break room and by the end of the day the candy's gone. I just keep doing that until all the candy I have at the house is gone.
sutff it in my face...I'm an addict
Lucky for me, my son doesn't like candy (should I get a DNA test to see if he's mine?). After I checked it, I toook it to work.
I do what all good mothers do, keep it around for a couple of days and then tell them that the ants got it and I had to throw it out. Ha ha
I have hidden most of it and I am saving them for rewards if they do something good. If I left them available my kids would eat the whole lot in a day and then not sleep for a week. I am also making sure that their little friends that did not get the chance to trick ot treat get a little bag of goodies out of their bag.
EAT IT!!
I have come up with my own solution. I let them pick 28 of their favorite out of their bags and then I let them eat 2 pieces a day for 2 weeks. That way they were allowed to pick out their favorite they knew it would only last them for 2 weeks.
The leftovers....well my husband and I went through it for our favorites and I took the rest to work for my coworkers.
give tthem 10 pieces a week and hide the rest
More than half of ours went in the trash. We sorted it to get rid of any that was made with trans fat. We've been trans fat free for almost four years now. The kids had no problems with throwing it away. The stuff that was okay we kept and they've had a few pieces here and there--as long as they're eating their meals.
Well, he's good at sharing.. He takes several bits to school, then a few later in the aft and evening. It was too cold to go far, so he didn't get as much as usual, so that was okay. I went and bought other stuff the next day, though.
PIck out what I like, let them have a few pieces a day, and in about 2 weeks throw out the nasty stuff that is left.
Well we not only have to deal with trick or treat candy, but my husband loves to hand out candy. We actually set up a buffet table & let the kids pick something from every bowl. This year there was 15 different kinds of candy! So, after going through what our son got from trick or treat & adding it to what we have left, we currently have 15 pounds of candy!!! I plan to put a piece in our son's lunchbox for the next week, take out some to stuff into Christmas stockings & throw the rest away
