I'm 42 and I'm in denial about my age too. I refuse to believe I'm over 30.
I am 45 and still think like I was 20 again, where have the years gone? When my son was born in the early 80's I was full of pride, he was and is my heart and soul. But at age 41 when I held my daughter, my heart sang that same song. I am a father again at age 41, and I could not help thinking will I be around to walk her down the isle. I pray so. I love both my kids just as much even though my son is a man now, he is still my baby. What bothers me is that I feel as if I didn't do enough for him as a father. I didn't run off and desert him as his dad, I didn't beat him to a pulp, I didn't ignore him or verbally abuse him, all I did was love him and raise him up as the bible teaches me. When I retired from law enforcement and entered ministry I still made time for him and still loved him the same. I hope many more fathers can say that too.
What is the question and you probably do want to be a kid again i want to go back to 23 that was a good time for me.
