Why are children today have so tons problems such as ADD and ADHD?

Children and Behavioral Issues

Answers:    I think surrounded by alot of cases its the parents laziness. They newly want to give them a pill and they won't enjoy to deal near their child. What they need is better disipline. Now I am not proverb that some kids really do have these problems but I have an idea that there is no mode this many kids own it.
Idk. But I have ADHD and OCD. but I don't enjoy a serios condition like most kids do. resembling washing your hand over and over.
Maybe it's because the way the world is, our children enjoy no time to be children, and we feel we must punish their urges to explore and stamp out their question so we can go fund to our summer reruns of Desperate Housewives.

I dunno. I really do feel our kids don't win to be kids anymore though. You can't play outside in even an excellent neighborhood and everything's so far away from the suburbs.
b/c their parents nurture them to much sugar and caffeine and don't want to take responsibility. also the USA is govern by insurance Co's so if they start young they're hooked. inopportunely this is a real weakness that really effects some children but b/c of the involvement of insurances and the lack of involvement of some parents able-bodied children are being miss diagnosed
Television. It give children a short attention span. Makes it so that everything they do has to be more exciting than the later thing they did.
it's not a short time ago today. it's been near forever. it's just that psychology hasn't developed as much as today.
It did not simply crop up over night..... pay for in the daylight, people have patience for childern next to ADD, ADHD. All peopole want to do now a days is save then sluggish! Don't get me wrong, it runs contained by my family, 2 of my 4 childern own it, and so does my husband. I simply takes restraint, and understanding of the disease.
Firstly I want to utter that there are masses legitimate cases of children beside ADD and ADHD. It is something we never heard of years ago. Most kids be just considered "hyper". You hear a great deal of reports on it now. I also believe that that "diagnosis"is abused somewhat immediately. A lot of parents may have an unruly child and a expeditious fix is to take them to the doc and them be diagnosed near ADD or ADHD and pumped full of drugs to control their behaviors. It is a sad state. I own seen this masses times. I work in a mental strength facility and have be told by many co-workers that the parents "insist" that their child have to be put on medication because that is the singular way they can control them. I meditate doctors need to look at some of the parents to determine the source of the children's problems. Of course, some of the doctors are fast to dole out the medication also.. Sorry, just my feelings..
Because it's an excuse orientated society which would rather confer a name to a problem and build it a legit medical problem then promise with their kids genuine issues.
No other country has the rates of ADD and ADHD that the US does, is it because every other country have morons for doctors or is it because doctors and pharmaceutical companies profit from this mass marketing? No other country advocates the drugging of their own children resembling the US does.
It's always be around. we're just immediately realizing what these disorders are.
I own 20+ years as a mental health practitioner, very soon retired, and I can tell you that "so many" kids enjoy ADD and ADHD because it became the brand new fad for parents to verbs over their kids and it was financially successful for the psychiatric and pharmaceutical professions, so they save it alive. Also, many practitioners take so "sold" on the diagnoses that, instead of truly doing an indepth investigation of the symptoms and etiology, they fall pay for on some popular and easy to remember diagnosis so they can process their clients. If that sounds a strict accusation of psychiatry, psychology, and pharmaceuticals, I can assure you that it's not as raucous as it is true. I've seen means of access too much of it. And "jeanclaudefan" and "lisa m" and "Lorelei" and "miranda-" all deserve a great big hug for their prudence and experience. God Bless you.
Everyone wants to sticky label kids. I am a child psychologist and it seems approaching every kid who acts up at adjectives gets a sign. Docs are putting kids on drugs just for man kids. Last month I saw a family whose kid be 3 and he was rambunctious and they looked-for Ritalin to make him silence down. He is a friggin 3 yo, he is supposed to run and play. There are some kids who truly have a problem and stipulation help but the majority dont. The majority hold parents who dont want to parent their kids and they use behavioral disorders as excuses for their own inept parenting.
Personally I think these issues hold always be present in the classroom however they be never identified .Do you remember in yesteryear that there be always a few kids who other seemed to be the class clown, or the kids who seem to disrupt the class, the kids who just didn't seem to be to quite fit contained by etc.I often wonder how frequent of these kids had study disabilities and were never identified.I wonder how plentiful kids would rather be thought of as the class clown than the student who couldn't read resourcefully or understand some concepts.Do you ever remember audible range of students who were dyslexic ? I'd similar to to think that better passport tecniques today have allowed most students the opportunity to cram.I also think that inclusion within the classroom has benifitted the identified students. In olden times these kids were labeled as hyper, troublemakers or "slow". Just because something wasn't identified contained by the past does not suggest it didn't exist.
Kids have ALWAYS have behavioral problems, it just wasn't as known or (quite frankly), CARED ABOUT before. Today, there's a drug for everything, and to be blunt, parents are turning their children into junkies.
Most culture have said that it is due to workshy parenting and the medical industry overselling drugs due to profit/ease of processing ect.

Although I agree with this reasoning, I also believe it is due to the namby pamby ways we immediately deal next to DISIPLIN with our children. Lets frontage it guys, for us people who are over 35 years of age, if we acted up the agency some kids now days do, we would acquire a wallop and told to behave. If that did not work you could expect to get overcome with a slipper/belt/cane across your backside.

Nowadays if a parent tried that they would be sued by at hand kids for damages! So what are we left to do near them as punishment? Ground them - this means that they are sitting around at home, getting surrounded by your hair, and can not seize out and socialise with others and interact contained by society - instead they drive there parents crazy adjectives day, which results, finally, within the parents giving in and letting them turn out anyway, so now the kid believes that near is no punishment - they may have be
told that they were grounded for a month, but within reality after 1-4 days if the parents don’t agree to them out of the house, the parents will then run crazy - so you have at most minuscule one generation bought up to believe that near is no consequences to there activities, so what happens? The kids capture out of control and everybody wonders why!
I don't believe adjectives kids diagnosed have it. I reflect some is poor parenting. In the case of children who really do hold it i think preservatives and the cast-offs food that is freely available. Some of it is inheritance. Remember the "naughty ' kids surrounded by school. They are have the kids that are now diagnosed ADHD.
but I muse a lot comes down to what kids in our time are eating and ingesting through paper and the air.
