Should I really have to sleep with my son's pricipal just so he can graduate from high school?
When I asked my husband what he thought of it he was thrilled. He really wants to see my son graduate and go off to college and says that we as parents should do whatever it takes to make sure this happens. Is this right? Should I really have to sleep with my son's princpal just so that my son can graduate from high school?? Help please!

Well, if your son is having trouble in high school, maybe you need to wait on college until he gets a better "base" to build a college eduction. College is a lot harder and a lot faster than high school. There are probably tutoring services in your area that can help him grasp the subjects he's having trouble with. Do some research into what is offered in your area, and see what you can do.
And with a principal who would even suggest what this one did, I would expect the quality of education he is receiving at that school really stinks. Move him immediately to a different school. Perhaps he might have to take some summer school to graduate, but he'll do better in the future if he accomplishes it himself. And being the nasty b**** that I am, I would go talk to the principal with a recording tape recorder in my pocket just to verify his offer. Then I'd take copies of the recording to the Superintendant of Schools and the police. What he did is illegal, immoral, and just plain wrong. He deserves the worst punishment the legal system can devise.
And me, personally, I'd be looking at trading in my husband. A husband who would be thrilled about the offer made by that principal deserves to be dumped out in the cold. With a good, solid kick in the a** to help him on his way. Tell your husband that HE can go satisfy the principal so your son can graduate.
You should see if your son has a learning dissability. I did poorly in school and then my parents got me checked and I did have a learning dissability. They put me in slower classes and I did just fine. I think you should look at why he can't get good grades. If he's trying hard then he must need a different learning stratagy.

try getting him a turtor or maybe the school offers special programs for struggling students..
