Is tickling a good thing to do to helpless children? Who here loves to be tickled?

I have yet to find an adult that doesn't get angry, after a point, from being tickled. Most adults I know HATE being tickled at all. Could these angry reactions stem from being helplessly tickled as a child? The laughing caused by tickling is not VOLUNTARY, it is a reflex. Aren't there better and less dominating ways to make kids laugh?

Answer:
I find this to be cruel to tickle children. They are usually held down against their will and tickled until they are screaming. You are right about everything you say about adults not liking it. In ancient China, tickling was used as a form of torture.
lol i think child being tickled is so sometimes make them smile
No one I know likes tickling! On a helpless child it is a form of domination and should be considered abuse!
Yes, it might be fun for the first two seconds, but afterwards it is cruel.

A baby will smile back at you if you smile first.

A small child will laugh at funny cartoons.
There are 5 kids in my family and the oldest is my stupid brother. He would regularly tickle torture each of the rest of us. How mean, how mean. Anyway, the strange thing is that now not one of us is ticklish. A person could tickle away, and I don't tickle! When I want to make kids laugh I sing silly songs I make up.
Tickling, to an extent, is good for us. Laughing, whether it is voluntary or not, makes a person feel happy because the brain releases endorphins. Personally, I like being tickled (God, don't tell my wife!). Again, it's cool as long as it isn't excessive.
Within limits, it is fine. Children like to play and be tickled but any adult should know there are limits to it. You don't let it get to the point of being torture. My kids always came back for more and instigated it when I didn't. The same happens with my grandchildren. As adults none of my children like to be tickled but loved it when small. Things change, adapt to the changes and use good sense.
Personally, at almost thirty years of age, I love being tickled in a playful manner. It's still a form of loving play in our household. I do not see that tickling is bad as long as it is done in a loving, playful way and not until a child is screaming helplessly.
Tickling is a form of domination? This is new to me. My daughters will say "tickey mommy," meaning they want tickled. Some kids actually like to be tickled believe it or not. When my daughters tell me they don't want to be tickled anymore, I won't do it. But if they ask me to, how can I not?
no, tickling is a painful thing to small children
