Single moms! where do you put your kid when you need to work?

and thier not old enought to be in school
do you put them in day care, which is kind of
expensive
babysitter or home child care?

Answer:
My best friend who is a single mom used the state to help pay for her babysitter. Most states have programs that can help with that.
I'd like to expand this one...
What if you don't have family to help out either?
I live in Canada and I have my son in daycare. It's subsidized so I only pay maybe like $80 a month (the daycare fee is $515). If your kid is 18 months or older they can go into a regular daycare. If they are younger, you need one with an infant program but those are hard to find.
My child had a babysitter until she was 2 1/2.Then she went to daycare 3 days a week, by the time she was 4, she was in preschool
day care is your best bet, you never know what these baby sitters do when ur not around, they may hurt the child or just not care

my cousin was around 2 yrs old and my aunt hired a baby sitter and the baby sitter was busy sleeping while my cousin was about to drink jewelry cleaner luckly she didnt get the cap open, i'd say daycare no matter how expensive, your better off
try some kids around the neighborhood that need something to do after school. their probally going to be less expensive than child care
i have 2 young ones that need child care(and two on the way).
Ihave found its better for us(and cheaper) to have some one come into our home to watch them for a few hours during the day.
I am a lucky one that has family help(i do pay my parents for babysitting also though).
I work nights so just need some one here for about 5 hrs during the day. then at night my parents watch them(not that theres much to do as i have them in bed asleep before i leave).
i've just aranged my schedule around my kids, im home when they get up in the morning, im up for dinner and to put them to bed at night, then i can catch a quick nap before heading to work.
preschool is probably your best choice
under you desk at work...
