What is your fondest memory of either parent as a child?

perhaps a special occasion, something they did for you, etc...

Answer:
My dad used to read us a chapter each night from "The Chronicles of Narnia", when I was about 4, and my brothers would have been 5 and 7. We loved it as a bedtime story, and still love it to this day.
I am glad you asked that question because it makes me think about how, since my own parents weren't the most capable, that there were some good times. Just like the girl above me, my mom used to read 'Chronicles of Narnia' and the 'Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe'. She was also a pretty good cook, unfortunately she let her depression overtake her and we didn't have many good times.
As far as my dad goes, I remember he used to help me practice gymnastics, as he was a gymnast in high school, that was a special thing we had in common. He really helped me and we bonded that way. We also used to go visit his parents at their cottage alot, just us and him(my mom never went along) so we also had great times that way. At Christmas he used to dress up as the Swedish Santa Clause, 'Tomte', and ring the door with a huge bag overflowing with presents -- we loved it!! I miss him very much.
nothing, they never did anything special for us, i don't have any happy memories involving them.
I only have bad memories of them but the only people who were like parents to me were my god parents there the absolutely best the helped me through all the tough moments in my life .
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in Nov.1993,she passed away in Sept.1994. But my greatest memory was JUNE 12th 1994(also my 23rd b-day). My parents renewed their wedding vows after 25 yrs, before she died. It was the happiest I think I had seen my mom in a long time.My dad was always an azz and still is.
the time my dad took me to a redsox game
I am afraid, did not come from loving home, so cannot comment, hope you did.
