I am sure the readers out there cannot help but wonder about your motivation for asking this question. Because obviously if you think that the fact that your teen is gay is a bad thing then the answers you are loOKing for will be different from those you might receive if you think it is ok. The obvious answer is the one you have already received.love him/her and support them all you can. But if you object to homosexuality then this can be difficult for you. If, like many contemporary parents, are not sure how you feel about it then seek out other parents with gay children and you will see how other people have dealt with it. In my experience even liberally minded parents feel somewhat uncomfortable if for no other reason than they know that their kids will face unique challenges that strait children will not face and as parents we all hope for our children a happy and good life. There is no doubt that being gay in this world is a real challenge therefore support from their parents can mean one less hardship for them. If your teen really is gay help them learn to deal with it in a healthy way amid a world were just getting buy can be difficult.
