Please Help my Child's Skin Issue?
I have gave him a bath every day but that has done nothing. His whole body is dry and rough like this, his arms, legs, thigs, back, just about everywhere.
Its not a different colour skin or anything. I am only 27 year old mother and I have no idea what I have to do with this, please give me some info.

There are bath oils available to help treat this. Even baby oil in a bath helps or products like Hamiltons or QV oil. Don't use soap as it will worsen it. And get hip to rub oil throughout the day too. Good luck.
some people have very sensitive skin when it comes to dryness in the atmosphere. Think about this--when it is very very cold outside, all of the moisture in the air freezes and falls out leaving just about 0 humidity. Adults have good oil glands in their skin that prevents their skin from drying out. Maybe your son has not developed the full compliment of oil glands in his skin. I would use a good lotion, maybe even one like a baby lotion that would stop that. Adult lotions will not hack it unless they are formulated for dryness.
Try bathing every other day. When still very wet, rub skin with Vaseline. This will lock the moisture into skin. Should see results immediately with more improvement daily. If not clear in week or so, make apt with dermatologist. Also, remember..Water, Water, Water! INSIDE and OUT!
God Bless!
Oh, yeah, try using humidifier in his bedroom at night. Also helps improve dry skin ailments. Be cautious using adult lotions as these contain alcohol which will do the opposite and dry the skin. Make sure lotions do not contain ANY fragrance as this could have started the entire situation (unknowingly) he could be allergic to soap, shampoo, etc that you're giving him to use, try baby products, fragrance free.
Vaseline or some petroleum products seem to work well in taming rough dry skin
first of all bathing him everyday probably makes it worse as soap is a drying agent. Make sure you are using natural products such as pure vegetable oil soap or an palm oil soap as these don't dry the skin. You need to take him to a dermotologist as soon as possible to get a pescription cream to rub into him. Make sure he has 100% cotton clothes that allow his skin to breath. See a dermoltologist now!
First of all, he needs to see a dermatologist.
Unfortunately, you are doing the wrong thing by having him bath every day - that is not good, it only dries out the skin more. While you must make sure he is hygenically clean, see if you can go two or three days without him bathing (sponge bath ok). Right after the bath, and several times each day, use creams and lotions all over the body to help soften the skin.
water will only dry him out more , soap is not really good for skin either, a sorbelene cream can be used instead of soap when he has a bath and rub it on him a few times a day too he may have eczema...take him to a chemsit or doctor , it could well be the heating in the house too i know when i had gas heating my skin became very dry, until i put a bowl of water in the room and used sorbelene cream. a loofa might help him too but if it were my kid i would see a chemsit or doctor first. cheers!
