he has his own twin bed
Answer:
best ways talk to your older son and explain to him stay sleep alone and take with teddy and buy little light and turn light on all night and you have to sit on chair next to his bed like 2 or 3 hours and leave him his room and see go is go and i know you bore but you need read newspaper or books and let him sleep until 2 or 3 hours then you leave his room and it will be works
cos i had my real son he only 6 year old but now he sleep alone his room last year im so happy
thanks many
i understand my son took a long time but do not force it only scares him
get a teddy bear on his bed and ask him to sleep
That is why its best to have the child in its own bed from birth. Put him in bed, tuck him in, then walk out. Shut the door and sit outside it with a book. Each time he gets up, do not make eye contact and put him back in bed. Make sure you pick a good book because it could take hours. No talking, no cuddles, just put him back in bed. Once he sees you are serious, he'll start sleeping there. But it could take several nights of this before he realizes you won't change your mind.
I cant really answer your question because I also have a 5yo that comes to my bed each night too. And yes as some do say it is a good idea to start them off in their own beds early, I have a 10yo who always sleeps in his own room in his own bed and has done since he was only months old. But.. both my 5yo and 7yo were both breastfed and spent more cuddle/close time with me each night until they were 2yo. So I wont force them out because " it aint right for a 5 or 7yo to sleep with mummy", instead i try to encourage them to want to be big boys in their own rooms. Have gone to the extent of buying dreamcatchers and nightlights and "cool" bedspreads etc but time will tell...!
tell them that they'll each get a quarter, and if they fall asleep then they'll forget about the quarter
