I own newly found out that my 14 year hoary daughter is smoking...?
What do you estimate?
I hope I can hold myself till then.
She solely smokes when we leave to travel to town so, she should not be addictive.
What do you think around my plan?
And yes I heard this communication from a very relyable source(s)
Answers: Ah yes, I remember the days of person 14 and "sneaking cigs" because we thought we were cool. I don't construe you should do the stocking thing- I think it would set a impossible mood for a special holiday. I would get it out within the open beforehand Christmas, so there is nought hanging over the year. Just let her know that you know, that you are disappointed, and hope she chooses to use better judgement. May I suggest NOT yell and freaking out. I grew up in a house of gentle parents but my mom was a yeller. I am presently 33 yrs old and the with the sole purpose memories of effective parenting be the times that I thought I deserved a total screamfeast and my mom would very steadily and quietly give an account me what I did was wrong and how dissapointed she be, and how I knew better and next she would walk away earlier I could even make up an excuse etc. Then she never would bring up the offense again. I SWEAR I never feel so bad as those moments, and NEVER did the offense again. Please don't contribute her a bad Christmas, of late give her a doomed to failure Sat. or something. If you really feel the involve to drive the point home, I would call the hospital to see if your daughter could come surrounded by and have a chat near a respiratory therapist, and see firsthand the cynical consiquences of smoking.
Well, my first impression of you is that your're a fun parent, and intensely understanding. That would label her laugh, as you too, but you should also sit her down and articulate about it. She also might deliberate you're too "okay" with it so she might hold doing it.
hope i've helped you; at ease holidays(:
