I know this is gonna sound lame, but my kids LOVE board games, monopoly, scrabble, cleudo, so if theyre outmoded enough for games (over 6 sort of age) you might be amazed how much they resembling a good hobby, my kids love cards too, and its almost a ritual that when they go to their nannas, they play cards - every time!!
Kids dont if truth be told want fancy stuff, theyre happy basically to spend time with you, so you dont enjoy to do a lot to preserve them happy, when its fine outside, win out, go to the park and roll down the hill, feed the ducks, play frizbee, 2 on 2 soccer/rugby etc, be in motion to the playground, a good winter sport of cricket in the fund yard, buy them disposable cameras and tolerate them take thier own pics and develop them, after the following week make scrapbooks out of the pics (I know its a bit girly but youll survive, and any girls will love it!!) Have a movie year, shut the curtains, have popcorn etc. Have a picnic, baking biscuits beside them, or muffins etc and let them rime them themselves, make mini pizzas and consent to them put thier own toppings on them. make up your own board games close to snakes and ladders etc, later play the games.
Those are all things Ive done near my own kids over the past few months... it is great you are thinking of things to do beside them, and all the stuff I mentioned acquire them away from the playstation/t.v/computer (except the videos as expected!!)
of course it does depend on how outmoded your kids are and if theyre boys or girls.

It depends on their age. My daughter like to go outside and try and arrest a ball I see in the upper air. You might get bored after doing it for a while but they wont! My dad used to do like thing beside me and my siblings and we loved it!
It really depends on the age of your kids. Colouring in is other a hit as with play-dough. You can obtain the recipe online for play-dough. If they are older pinch them outside for a game of cricket or see a footy.
Put them to work. Depending on the age of the children, housework and yard work can be fun. Afterwards you can get hold of ice cream. One summer we put on our bathing suits and did tie-dye t-shirts within the back courtyard. There are a lot of agencies that could use volunteer abet. Again, a lot depends on the age of your children. Art projects are other fun, and movies are great (go to the movie, don't rent it -- then procure the t-shirt). Check the newspaper for special events contained by your area. Sometimes near are sporting events they'd enjoy as resourcefully as some demonstrations and things just to "see" approaching famous race cars. Museums are fun and so are plays. Have you considered cooking together? That can be done at any age. You could also get on the Internet and rummage through your town's website to see if there are any special things to see or do. The detail is endless if you want to rob the energy to find things out. You could also hold your kids think just about things to do for the next time you're together. If you own a camcorder you could "make your own commercials" and do imitation. Silly is great, no matter what the age.
