Where do I find my daycares background online and that is free?
Answer:
This is hard really. There are a few places that you can check for free. My daughter is in a very good daycare and I still ran checks. After all its MY daughter.
1. call the better business breau in your neighborhood. This relies on people fileing complaints. If you get ONE complaint count it as ten. I run a business and I know for every one complaint you get there are 9 that you do not.
2. Talk to the other parents. They will be more than willing to tell you all the dirt. I make a habit of talking to parents in classes other than my daughters to see what is going on there and compare it to my daughters room. I also check out the teachers individualy.
I contacted a low budget firm to run backround checks on the teachers at my daughters daycare. Yes this costs money, but I would rather spend it now than later. IE do you buy a car seat now or pay the medical bills later?
Do as much research as you deem necessary. IF you find something strange, bring it up. I had hits on two teachers at my daughters daycare and I asked about it. Both were fired.
Nothing is safer than being by my side, but our daycare (the one my daughter goes to) is coming close now.
About the money issue. Call around, get prices, then talk to the other parents. I had several parents give me money for copies of the reports I received. Everyone wants to know more about the people taking care of their kids, if they love their kids that is.
All "legitimate" daycare facilities are required to be licensed in the state in which they operate. Check with your local government for the information on the daycare you are concerned about.
Also take note that many Children and Youth Service employees fall short of doing their duties as far as inspections. Some of them fill out the forms without even paying a visit to the places they are assigned to inspect.
Have your local police pay a visit to the daycare if you are in doubt. Don't wait for CYS to respond..they have been proven too many times to be unreliable.
And.YES.help from your local police department is FREE.
try doing a search on google it might come up with some thing but i dont know what else you could do
your best source would be social services
