My baby is sick?
Answer:
Take your baby to the doctor or the hospital. Babies get sickly and won't play for a reason. Throwing up reduces the babies body fluids and crucial electrolytes. I almost lost a baby once; overnight she became too weak to hold her hand up. The doctors took her into the hospital when they saw her and fed her intravenously for several days to restore her fluids and body chemicals, lost from throwing up and diarrhea.
Don't wait. The baby at least needs the doctor to make a decision about treatment or not. Take the baby to the emergency room if you must, but take it now.
If I was you i would go straight to the doc or a hospital especially if he is running a temp. you shouldn't muck around when babies are sick even if it is just nothing it is better to over react then have something happen to him when you could have prevented it.
Its not teething. Sounds more like the flu. You should go see your dr.
Call your doctor immediately. If he has a temp take him to the hospital. Never second guess anything when an infant is sick. Pesonally, I think your nuts if your're asking this on FeelBaby.com.
He probably has the stomach bug..I would give him some pedialyte and let him rest as much as possible. If he doesnt get any better over the weekend then take him to the doc on tuesday(unless they are open on monday)..if he gets worse..fever,lathargic,vomitin... more frequently etc. then take him to the ER. Its probably something thats not a case of emergency but just something with his little tummy. Do not force him to eat if he doesnt want to and just continue to give him the pedialyte and u can buy some over the counter medicine to help ease his stomach upset..I have seen and dealt with this all the time and usually the doctor will just say the same thing for the dehydration..If u are at all concerned about his health right now though take him to the hospital..Im just telling u what i think and what i have experienced with my children.
well the best thing i can tell u is to take your baby to the doctor but if the office is closed take baby to the er,it could be something serious or just the bug but u won't know until you seek professional advice hope everything is ok keep me posted
If he is under a year old you need to consult a doctor immediately. If he is over a year old you can try the pedialyte...but if he is dehydrated (not wetting his diapers) you need to go ahead and seek medical attention. Teeth doesn't cause throwing up...it can cause diarrea...but not throwing up.
It sounds like he is sick. Neither of my kids threw up when teething.
Teething does not make a child throw up. Call your pediatrician.
Sounds like he has a stomach flu.You did not say how old your baby is. His age makes a big difference in what you can give him to make him feel better.
If he is under 2 you can give him some infant Gravol.
This will have the dose chart on the box for weight and age.
if he is drinking from a cup you can try a little flat ginger ale and plain toast or soda crackers to help settle his stomach.
Remember to try and keep him well hydrated. Clear fluids are best. Small sips at a time.
You can tell if he is not getting enough if he is not peeing, his mouth is dry and sticky, his eyes look sunken.
If this continues for longer than 48 hours or is with high fever and/or diarrhea,or he does appear to be dehydrated do not hesitate to take him to the Dr as soon as possible.
It's not teething.
Could be a stomach virus. Don't give him milk. Only clear fluids or juices. Pedialite (sp?) or Gatorade.
Check his temperature and if it's over 101 degrees get him into a very slightly warm bath, then slowly add cold water until he starts shivering. Keep him occupied by using a washcloth to rub him down with water over his neck, head and shoulders (while he's sitting in the tub.)
If he cries, bear with it for a while and when you take him out, towel dry him and put on light clothes. Don't wrap him all up getting him all warm and snugly again.
You can also use rubbing alcohol, but I've been through this more than a dozen times and since my girls all loved getting baths, it worked perfectly.
If the temp is over 101 degree's, get him into the doctor or urgent care. (One of my daughters had a 105 degree fever and I did the same as mentioned above as directed by our family doctor and she broke the fever.)
Don't give him medicine as he'll just throw it up since his stomach is already upset.
If he's really hungry and four hours go by, give him crackers or something, but nothing more. Maybe toast, but no butter or anything on it.
His teeth could be bothering him, but that's not making him throw up. It could be why he's not interested in playing though... So as another way to cool him down (if there's a fever) is to give him a popsicle. Even if he's not feverish, most little ones enjoy that anyway. No popsicles? Use an ice cube.
If he's throwing up more than three times in an hour, take him to the hospital.
Go see your doctor or take the baby to the hospital...when babies vomit and will not eat or drink...you have to worry about dehydration.
sounds like he is sick and needs a doctor if it was his teeth hed be slobbering and chewing on things non stop
take him to the dr and find out for certain
