What's the best age to start catching bees?
Answer:
I think a smart person wouldn't need to ask because trying to catch bees is stupid.
i tried catching bees at three. It's my earliest memory. It's not a good one. I'm not into bees these days.
Oh, please be careful.
If he gets stung. OUCH.
And, what about an allergic reaction?
i dont think thats safe. im pretty sure you need to be trained to do that or something.
dunno, 6?
cover him in jam and see what sticks
Don't really though, being an apiarist takes a lot of skill
I think if he gets stung, he won't want to bother any more.
i think he should wait a few more years!
I remember catching them when i was about 6-7.
Clean out a jam jar or similar with lid and you can use it to lift them off the leaves. Or close the jar with leaf inside. Then he can study the bee in the jar.
Just let it fly off after he's lost interest.
It may just be a phase, if he is 3 he may like it. Take him too a bee farm, and show him the hard work, and see if he still wants to do it. If so then i would say no, it might be dangerous for someone so young.
