When do you know you succeded in becoming a great parent?

Answer:
When your kids grow up and raise their children the same way you raised them.
love and patience
After 18 years when you see them walk across the stage to get their diploma.
When they have kids and tell you that NOW they understand...and they ask you for advice...then actually sit there and listen!! :)
a myriad of things...when your child gives you an unexplainable feeling of joy sort of like the feeling you get the first time you hold them after giving birth of after they say they're first word..its like experiencing nirvana..a parent always knows when they're a good parent...you'll know! good luck!
When they move out and only come back to visit.
when your child is happy to communicate with you
When your daughter makes it through high school without being pregnant, having a drug problem, has had steady jobs, got good grades and is on the way to college. Then you know for sure.
When your child is grown and able to stand on their own 2 feet and take care of themselves. And that they're upstanding citizens and kind and considerate, treats others well, etc.
It depends on how your kids turn out. If they become responsible adults who can hold jobs and stay out of trouble, you have done your job well.
never.you'll never know if you were great, just hope that your good. children live to be adults so the responsibility lasts your whole life.
When your child turns any age and
answers, Yes madam or No madam!
It's the respect that a child returns to its parent(s)
that shows gratitude and love. Aside from that,
when that child turns into an adult with respect,
gratitude, and love for himself, his family, and his community!
When people call you and ask if she would be willing to throw her hat into the political arena based on her being a respectable/respected member of society and having a good sense of moral values as well as compassion and interest in those around her.
I try to simply be the best parent I am capable of, everyday. Determining success is different for everyone. For me , If my children are educated, hard working, kind, and compasionate adults I will feel as though I've done a good job. We must remember that the job of parenting is a never ending job, it lasts a lifetime.
I don't think that you ever know for sure. You just do your best & pray a lot! Seriously, Most parents don't realize whether or not they've done a good job until their children are grown & still choose to come to them for advise. Better yet, If your child trusts you to take care of your grandchildren, you know you have done a good job.
patience, good parenting skills and i plan on being a good parent like tell them not to smoke not to drink tell them from right and wrong. and be there for them and never walk out on them when they need me.
