Why do some people think they are better than others?

I try to avoid those types of people like the plague since I think they are full of s**t. Usually they end up having the most screwed up kids and they put on a whole "I'm better than you bit" to cover up their problems.

Because some people are. It's just the way it is. some are worse then others too.
What a boring world it would be if we aere all exactly the same.

i.m.h.o., i think it's because they know that they're aren't better than everyone else, but instead, wanting to be like everyone else. they know that they're inferior, so they act like they're not to cover it up.
Some people think that they and their kids can do no harm.
Because it was the way they were brought up. They were brought up to be better then other's and not to be humbled and that they could be friends with everybody.
that's what makes the world go round, different people, different views and different beliefs
Because they think and want to believe that.
because they are extremely over confident over little things like my son is bigger than your son for example. those kind of things and my son is older than your son for another example. its parents and their children just get extremely too confident in believing they are better than the other children.
